Welcome to the Inner Circle
Imagine a virtual campfire.
Somewhere safe and inviting for you to sit down and let go of your endless “shoulds” and never-ending to-do lists. A place for you to slow down, reflect and recognise what’s working in your life and what you’re grateful for, alongside what you’re struggling with and what you’d like to change. A place where your personal development and personal growth matters.
We gather weekly on Zoom every Thursday at 6pm UK time. The power of structured reflection from journaling, expertly facilitated group coaching and the accountability and support from other members will help you find your calm and transform the way you relate to yourself and others, at home and at work.

We begin every week with a ritual short breathing and visualization exercise to calm our minds, followed by four minutes of free writing. Afterward, we take mindful breaths, stretch, and reflect on what we’ve written. I guide you each week to notice patterns or new insights in your writing.

Exploring
Each month, we dive into a new theme—like boundaries, assertiveness, or gratitude—through brainstorming, writing exercises, or drawing. I introduce a whole range of evidence-based, creative techniques to help deepen your self-reflection and personal growth.
In small breakout groups, you’ll connect with fellow members to discuss the themes that emerged during the session. These structured conversations never fail to surprise, inspire and connect you to the other members of the circle, deepening your understanding of yourself and others. It’s beautiful and powerful.
Connecting
Closing and committing
Something important to know:
There is absolutely no pressure at all to share the content of your writing, or even to share any of your thoughts and feelings in the open group. When you are in your break-out groups, you only share what you feel comfortable sharing. Listening and learning from others is as important as anything else – and is where you discover that you are not alone; we all have similar feelings bubbling below the surface!
We come back together to share insights or ask questions. We close with a final writing exercise to process the session, leaving you with a sense of clarity and calm.

FAQ’s
-
The kind of writing we do in the Inner Circle is really self-coaching; you learn to become open to all your thoughts and feelings and to write them down without editing or judging. You then also learn how to read these thoughts and feelings back, notice helpful and unhelpful patterns and extract wisdom from our words. We use a wide range of evidence-based journaling techniques that include free writing, mind-mapping, letter writing, list-making and drawing and doodling. These different techniques help you gain the maximum perspective on what is going on for you and what your true needs, wishes and desires are.

The classes (although I don’t like that word as it seems too much like school!) are private, confidential sessions held on Zoom. By taking part, you agree that what is shared in the sessions is confidential – you are welcome to tell friends, family and colleagues about what you or I said, but should not share the specific details of what others in the group said, without their permission. It is therefore also important that you commit to not sharing the recordings with anyone else either.
-
Yes, please! Quality conversations and connecting comes from really seeing each other and allowing ourselves to be seen. If you do not enjoy seeing yourself on camera, there is a setting that allows you to hide your view of yourself and just see everyone else – a lot more like real life.

The most important aspect of this community is the live gathering. There is something very powerful in stopping everything you are doing to just “be” and to connect with others who are doing the same. If for any reason you cannot make it, the recording will be available within 24 hours. In the last four years I have facilitated classes from wherever I have been in the world – Greece, Mexico, Panama, Italy and all over the US and UK. It’s an important restorative discipline for me. On the few occasions that I haven’t been able to make it, one of the very lovely members has facilitated in my place.
-
No absolutely not, although I would love you to be a part of it. It is a place to ask questions, follow up from the classes or post when you achieve something or are stuck with something. It’s a source of encouragement and motivation for the members who are there.

Since the membership started in 2020, members have ranged in age from mid 20s to early 80s! Most of the members live in the UK as that’s where I started the community, but we have current members who live in California and South Africa. They come from very different backgrounds - education, IT, floristry, marketing, coaching, sales - but they have curiosity, compassion and courage in common. There is plenty of laughter and a few tears (happy and sad); it’s an honour for me to hold the space for them, it really is.
